I'm a local so my review may be a bit biased but you'd be hard pressed to find a prettier place to camp and hike. The Pecos wilderness is unbelievably beautiful and magical.
Beautiful campground with cool lean-to's. The roofs need a little TLC though if anyone needs an Eagle project or if some congressman is reading this and can write it into the FS budget!
The campground was picturesque and perfect for tenting. It had open Adobe huts with fire pits inside. In other lots there was a fire pit and a picnic table. The bathroom was the cleanest I have ever seen. If your looking for privacy it's not the place to camp. Its constantly packed on the weekends. It's perfect for picnics and socializing with other campers.
