Ridge Park is located near the Continental Divide nestled in the foothills of the Burro Mountains. We are just minutes south of Silver City. We have 20 full hookup sites spread out over 18 acres. We are surrounded by live oak trees and a well-manicured natural landscape with 360-degree views of the nearby forest and valley and distant mountains. Unlike other RV resorts, Ridge Park is a great place to enjoy nature and its wild life in a serene setting.
Pros: it's quiet, small, and the owner was friendly in our limited interaction.
Cons: the shower is quarter operated. We paid $42 for an RV campsite but because we are dry camping, we needed the shower. The website and other reviews didn't mention that it was coin operated. So for 2 showers we spent nearly 10 more dollars. And sometimes it didn't add any time when you put a quarter in. I think it stole about 3 bucks from us. The promise of a hot shower was the main reason we stayed here so it was really disappointing to say the least.
I think the owner should reconsider coin operated showers or if someone who has paid the daily rate needs it, they should get a big roll of tokens or something so they can shower without additional cost. Also they should be upfront about it on their website or while booking.
This is such a peaceful campground. The owners are very friendly. Spots are spacious. Campground is kept clean. There are some long term people but they keep their spots clean and all are respectful and quiet. There’s a nice trail next to the campground and the views of the sunrise are out of this world. If I come back to this area, this will definitely be where I stay. I was here for two months. Good peaceful vibes here.
This is a nice quiet and safe RV park about 13 miles south of Silver City New Mexico. The owners Bill and Rosie are very friendly and make every effort to make your stay comfortable. There are about 25 RV sites. There is a washer and dryer as well as a bathroom with a shower. Also a small gym building with two sets of exercise equipment inside, a library and a dog park. Good sized covered picnic areas available too. There is plenty of room between RV sites. This is a great place and we highly recommend it!
