Very nice campground! Lots of trees. Dirt road is 3.9 miles and can be washboarded. 38 camp sites, first come. Most sites are for cars or small RV. There are a few pull thru sites (20, 23, 24 ,26, 28, 33, 34, 36 and 37). Fill out envelop cash or credit card, no checks! Put stub on Post with site number and if you leave always leave a chair to show site is occupied. Currently Fires and charcoal are banned, propane cooking and propane fire pit are allowed. Must bring your own water. You can get water at the dump and trash station just below the Lehman Cave Visitor Center, or fill water jugs at the visitor centers. Campground fills up starting Thursdays all summer and usually fairly empty Sunday thru Wednesday. Very clean vault toilets, no showers. Wildlife abundant. No dogs allowed on the trails. I did read there is a dog sitter in Baker, so you can safely leave your pet and go on hikes or take the 1 1/2 hour cave tour. The park Rangers and assistants are nice and helpful. Trail head nearby.
Baker is a fcfs campground, if you’re lucky to get spots 15 or 16, you’ll have direct access to the creek and it’s very private! Loved camping here!
This is a stunning campground inside of Great Basin National Park. We had campsite number 33 for a single night. It was a great location with everything we needed. The view of the sky here was excellent if you're into stargazing. Restrooms were clean, and the park rangers were all helpful and friendly. This is a first come, first served campground that does not take reservations.
