The room was actually nice for being only $23. The Breakfast buffet was decent. The BBQ platter for dinner was the bomb; Hugh and shareable. The band on Friday and Saturday night was great. Definitely worth a return trip.
The rooms are clean but no coffee maker no fridge and you have to ask for your room to be cleaned. It's a little run down but there is a small casino attached to hotel. Some of the servers are rude. Was there 4 days didn't win anything. That sucked. Probably would not stay there again. Rooms aren't cheep either and food isn't good there either.
Gave 3 stars because staff in restaurant and front desk were helpful and friendly. Rooms were not as pictured or advertised. Nothing new about them. We even changed rooms and said we would pay for upgrade. There was nothing different except location of room. We had no trash can in room. We requested one and never received. No microwave, fridge, iron or ironing board, no coffee maker or blow dryer. If I had not already reserved and paid for 3 nights I would have left. Other hotel rooms and hotels are nicer and not much difference in price. On upside we had good meal in restaurant and casino was fun.
This is a hidden treasure! It's dated, but it's just amazing! Dustin at the front desk was amazing! We asked if we could check in early, and also needed a accessible room. We were in luck and got it. Went to the room. It's bare bones. We figured we needed to bring a Keurig. Had to get a hair dryer from housekeeping.
Our experience at the casino was great. Slots paid good. Restaurant was amazing for breakfast! Good portions. The bakery goods are OMG! The Pizzeria was amazing as well.
If you like old school atmosphere, this is a resort you can check out!
I absolutely adore this hotel and casino. This is my first time staying at one and it is so affordable and exactly my style. They’ve renovated all of the rooms will maintaining the classic kitsch of the casino itself. It’s perfect, imo. It might not be for you if you’re into upscale lodging, but if you’re a fan of hotels with plenty of character, you’ll love it.
Bed is comfortable, room is clean, and the restaurant is great. Staff are super friendly and immensely helpful. They actually saved me the price of one night but suggesting that I wait an hour to check in so that I wasn’t charged for the night of the early morning that I arrived. I thought that was super honest and cool of them.
All of the staff - from security, to restaurant staff, to maintenance, to reception - have been a pleasure to interact with.
Beach access is beautiful and you can see the other side of the Colorado Belle from the river, which is super cool.
