Located 2 miles northwest of Boyne City on C-56 (Boyne City Rd).
Nice park located on the east branch of Lake Charlevoix. Hardly staffed. The bathrooms were trashed! Plugged toilet with poop on floor, 2 on women's side that didn't stop running, broken soap dispensers and hand dryers. Lots of trees with good sites.
Can’t go wrong with Michigan State Parks. Haven’t been to Young in years but I am happy to be back. Shower facilities are very nice, and even have a camp store with ping pong + ice cream. Great state park :-)
Clean, level, well placed campground right on lake charlevoix with swimming at a gorgeous beach. The lights from the bathrooms were a little annoying at night but our spot was right by the woods and water spout. Will go again.
It was a chilly fall weekend but it was a nice campground. Hoping to come back next summer. The beach looked nice and sandy and most of the sites looked shady.
