Beautiful park on Lake Huron. We stayed at the cabin & loved it, just wished it was dog friendly. Comfortable beds & plenty of room. No TV, but that was ok. May want to bring a transistor radio as cell service is poor. Beautiful beach & walking trails. 12 steep steps with railing to 2 upstairs bdrms & 1/2 bath. Master bdrm with large full bath on 1st floor.
A nice well maintained state park. It has a great beach on lake Huron with a small designated swimming area and a playground for kids. The beach is a short walk from any of the camping spots. The camping spaces are fairly close and typical of state parks. There is a paved biking hiking trail that goes through the park and nearby sights to visit.
We had a family camping trip here at Hoeft state park. Very clean, quiet, friendly area right on the beach of Lake Huron. Bathrooms could use a good updating, but everything was clean and well tended to by all the managers. Was an awesome trip we had a great time.
