About Campground

Consider it a staycation–when you visit Meadowmere Park, you’ll have a whopping 288 acres to explore of sparkling water, sandy beaches, and green grassy expanses. You can rent kayaks, and standup paddleboards from DFW Surf for floating out onto the sparkling water of the lake.

Meadowmere Park is home to the largest floating aqua park obstacle course in Texas, WhoaZone. Located on Grapevine Lake, the enormous floating playground is the best way to cool off this Summer. Bring your family and friends to slip, slide, and have tons of fun. Get tickets here.

If you’ve come to eat your lunch, you’ll find the fire pits and grills perfect for whatever you’re cooking up. A designated beach just for swimming is just right for relaxing in the cool of the lake. When you’re bringing the whole family, a playground, and shaded picnic tables. Campers can choose to stay overnight on a beautiful lakeside primitive campsite complete with picnic tables and fire rings, and you’re free to bring your pets along too.

We camped here in a tent. Had an ant infestation despite no food in our tent. Moved our tent, no luck, and got bitten to hell as we slept

. Ants all over the ground, recommend bringing an ant spray to go around tent parameter and ointment to treat ant bites (they are very sore & itchy)

Swimming in the lake highly recommended !! Staff very helpful too.

Downsides : port a loo for campers. You have to drive a few minutes to have a shower. Only 2 showers available (1 for the ladies, 1 for the men) - there are rubbing water toilets there too … but it’s too far to walk.

Book online. It’s easy and a nice little vacation in Dallas by the lake.

Made reservations and needed to cancel so I called and cancelled within all the guidelines and time requirements. I received confirmation of cancellation but I never received a refund.

I called back a month later asking about refund and they said they applied it as a credit for future stays. That is not a "refund" fyi, they were able to initiate an actual refund after charging cancellation fees and taking their cut. Wasn't a great experience.

Clean and spacious bathrooms near my campsite. 🏕️ Although, my 4 y.o. wasn't strong enough to flush the toilet. 😅

The hike was longer than I expected due to multiple turn offs that don't really lead anywhere but some that do.

The grass near my campsite was well groomed and soft enough to get a good night sleep. Didn't need an air mattress.

The awning created a nice amount of shade over the picnic table.

I was very satisfied with the camp grounds; especially considering it is in the heart of DFW and less than 30 minutes from home.
