East of Manistee (between Manistee and Wellston) off M-55. From M-55 take Skocelas Rd north four miles to Becker Road. Turn West on Becker 3/4 mile to Bialik Rd. Continue on Bialik Road 3/4 mile to the campground.
This camp lies just off the Manistee river. the river is good for swimming if you stay near the edge of the river. They allow you to bring and rent boats, canoes, and kiaks. they do tubing as well. there was some really nice people o got to be neighbors with. we shared laughs and food together.
Great campground that’s really well run. The owners are always super nice and accommodating to any of your needs. I try to bring my son up to tent camp once a year and this is the only place I’ll go to!
My only piece of constructive criticism is that I hope they switch back to wood picnic tables eventually. You guys are awesome though - you have a customer for life!
I should keep it a secret because This place is a hidden GEM. I was in disbelief. And I hate MOST things. I only stayed one night but I wish I coulda stayed 5. Right on the river. Fell asleep to the sound of giant salmon leaping out of the water. Great scenery. Nice people. Has Kayak and canoe rental so you don’t have to haul your own. I’m gonna try and come back once year. It made me want to buy a boat. This place is the reason people buy boats .
Loved our experience! Great location for kayaking on the Big Manistee River. Cheryl and her staff were super to work with setting everything up for our event with 8 people. We had 2 RVs and a cabin for our group, 1 person had their own kayak, and they accommodated our group without a hitch and always a smile! We had a great time! Thank you!
Great place to get away and do some fishing. It sits right on the Manistee River. Great fall salmon fishing and steelhead throughout the fall and winter. The cabins are a little outdated but acceptable. It's a one of a kind experience. One of the only places that you can camp along the river. They offer tent camping, rv camping and cabins. The town of Manistee has a nice beach and lighthouse pier right on Lake Michigan. Lots of interesting places in the area and some pretty decent food in town.
