About Campground

Mountain Valley Lodge and Campground is located in beautiful Benzie County, Michigan. We offer warm, comfortable rooms at affordable prices and a spacious RV campground with plenty of sites.

Our 76 site campground offers 10 large, full hook up pull through sites; 50 full hook up back in sites and 16 electric only sites for tent or small pop-up style campers. All campsites have a fire pit and picnic table. We have a large bathhouse building with 8 private shower rooms as well as mens and women's restroom. We are planning on adding a small laundry facility within the first year of operation, however it will not be available upon opening in spring of 2022. We have a play area for the children and have plans for a pool to be installed in the 2023.

We are just minutes away from several spectacular rivers and lakes, providing great opportunities for countless adventures like kayaking, canoeing, tubing, boating, fishing and more. Our property is surrounded by thousands of acres of state land, making us the perfect hunting destination!

In addition, there are numerous snowmobile and ATV trails accessible from our property, and various hiking and bicycle trails nearby. We are only three miles from Crystal Mountain and we have several fabulous golf courses, nearby!

Mountain Valley Lodge is only a short drive from Lake Michigan, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Leelanau's wine country.

Come stay with us, and enjoy all the adventures Northern Michigan has to offer.

Stayed in a lodge room here. Just the kindest owner, Kim, who was very welcoming to us. This is a gem of a place to stay with the vintage style of parking in front of your room door. There are comforter blankets on the beds, even & plenty of towels. If you've been traveling for hours with kids or non-smokers, you'll be pleased with their designated outdoor cigarette smoking areas, besides the great rec room & bagged ice they have for your cooler. Kim said to go for dinner at Geno's in Thompsonville only a few miles away, & it was a great tip with good food. We'll be back again! Thanks again!

Kym and her boys were super friendly and attentive. They came around and asked if we needed firewood. The campsites are clean. It seems most campers are respectful, quiet, and friendly. Great experience and nicely maintained campground. We had a small group for Beer N Brats at Crystal Mountain. This was our second time camping there….will definitely be back! Thank you!!

Just returned from our maiden voyage with our trailer that we bought in June.

Was concerned that we wouldn't be able to find a 8 night stay anywhere because it overlapped Labor day weekend.

What a great find we made in staying at Mountain Valley!

The sites are very spacious and mostly shaded. We drove through other campgrounds in the area, and you were either packed in like sardines or out in the sun in an open field.

The bathrooms and showers were very clean.

We have used many different types of accommodations in Benzie county the past decade before buying our trailer.

This will be our go to place from here on out.

I needed a room for an event at Crystal Mountain. The nightly rates were more than a mortgage payment! The sweet reservationist recommended Mountain Valley Lodge, and I'm so glad she did!! It is just 3 miles down the road! I was very pleasantly surprised by how lovely the property is and the rooms matched. Quaint, absolutely adorable, clean as a whistle, whisper quiet for sleeping. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!! Super comfy beds, hot shower, great stay!!!
