Right in Big Bradford Lake with sandy beach
From jct Hwy 32 & I-75: Go 12 mi S on I-75(exit 270), then 1/4 mi W on Marlette Rd, then 2 mi S on Old 27, then 500 feet W on Headwaters Ct.
The positive note is that the beach is very nice and the water is clear. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly. However, before arriving, there was a miscommunication with the owner about the campsites we were using. She had a negative attitude and called my husband angry and wasn’t very understanding.
Even though the bathroom was clean, the showers only turn on for about 10 seconds at a time and there is no way to control the temperature. In addition to this, 3 families were charged over 100 dollars per family to use 2 campsites. Their rules and regulations clearly state that you can have up to 6 people per campsite and there were other campsites with more people on them. We would have been under the allotted number. Also, our kids were digging holes, which we intended to fill in, but she made a big deal about it and claimed that we were ruining the grass even though there were gopher holes on the campsite.
I definitely felt we were over charged. We will not be returning. I understand that some people have a great time at this campground, but based on the way we were treated and how we were overcharged, we do not feel comfortable returning.
Quiet place with a nice lake house. Great view of the lake and beach for the kids to swim/play volleyball/shuffleboard. Can't wait to see the changes when we come back next time. Hopefully they have a standard 110 hook up at all of the sites. We didn't now we need the adapter beforehand.
We camped in our trailer. The campground was nice. However the water was undrinkable. Fortunately we had a filtration system. The water gave off a strong sulfur odor.
