Starlight Campground is a quiet RV park in a peaceful setting in “Up North” Michigan. Formerly known as Whispering Pines RV Resort, the campground has been reborn with new ownership in 2020 and a new name for the 2021 season that reflects our commitment to create a camping destination where life is simpler, easier, and where families can learn to reconnect and create lasting memories.
Starlight Campground is a family friendly campground nestled amidst mature pine trees, with cozy campsites, full facilities, a beautiful hiking trail, both vintage and contemporary trailer rentals, impeccably clean facilities, incredible sunsets, and star-filled night skies. It is those dark skies that have inspired our name, carried over into our Starry Nights Weekend during the annual Perseids meteor shower in August, just one of a season full of themed weekends filled with carefully planned activities.
We also strive to provide our guests with a level of hospitality and service that will exceed their expectations. We are home of the “Welcome Wood”, where you will find three pieces of firewood already in your campfire ring as our way of saying “Thank you” for being our guest. We will even deliver wood, ice, and store items directly to your site. Think of it as room service in the great outdoors!

Very clean and organized campground. The sites in the older section can be a little tight though some are spacious. Theres been a ton of new sites added that are all full hookup, though no shade. Rates are great and there's tons of activities constantly planned. Having their own app was pretty sweet.
Met the owners and they were simply lovely. Always happy to support a non corporate campground.
We'll definitely be back at some point.
Wow, this place rocks. The campsites (for tents) were great, with pine trees separating them from others. There was an electrical outlet, water, and they give some some logs in the fire pit to get you started. Tons of unexpected amenities such as corn hole, heated pool, and a gift shop/general store. The bathrooms were clean, and private. We will definitely be back to this campground.
We had a wonderful weekend here and are coming back again at the end of the summer with our daughter. The app is amazing and very helpful. We had an issue with the electric service, and they addressed the problem quickly. The bathrooms are large and very clean. Lots are immaculate, as is the entire campground. It’s clear the owners love what they do and employ people who love it as well. Activities are plentiful for kids and families, and the themed weekends make it extra fun!
Starlight is a fantastic campground. From the start, the team was very friendly and helpful. The sites are clean and easy to access. You can order ice and wood with the app and they deliver it right to your site. They are quick too! Garbage is picked up twice a day at your site. In addition, they have a clean pool, basketball, pickleball, and more. When we were there they had a themed weekend and events to go along with it. Overall this is a great park and we would recommend you visit. We know we will be back!!
