Campsite ended up flooding and they refused to allow us to rent a cabin for one night. Even though we had paid to camp for 4 nights.
So we had to relocate to hotel 20 miles away. This caused us to run an hour late getting everything packed up and leaving the next day. After informing management and was told not to worry, the guy came screaming at my wife and called the police, which did nothing, because we literally had the car packed up by the time they arrived.
Things should have been handled differently instead of just approaching my family with such a horrible attitude. Definitely would not suggest this campsite to anyone…
They don't spray for mosquitos, so we got eaten alive the first night. We went and bought our own mosquito smoker and did it around our lot and the surrounding lots as a courtesy.
We have camped here for 7 years and the priority for the safety of the children is phenomenal. Recent bad reviews about registering vehicles (no car tags) and adhering to the 5 mph speed limit seems odd to me if you are concerned for your family's safety. We love that they make sure that all vehicles entering are registered and have a car tag. It makes our stay feel more secure.
This campground is our favorite! Family oriented, clean and the owners make sure our stay here is amazing. Activities every weekend for kids/adults and HUGE playground for the little ones. What a great place!! The sites are good sized. The owners are friendly and beyond helpful! Excellent find!!!
Great campground. Staff is friendly. Pool is always clean. Nice bathroom/shower house. Sites are decent size. River on the edge of the campground to play around in. Mini golf is always a favorite when camping at Mecosta Pines.
