About Campground

At the base of the Homer Spit is Mariner Park, a 111 acre multi-use area that is one of the most popular beach access points in Homer. Fat-tire bikes, joggers, dogs, surfers, beachcombers, coal collectors, fossil hunters, bird watchers, and folks who just want to grab a seat and enjoy the view. There are 34 campsites available between April 1st and October 30th. All campsites are $20 per night (sales tax included) and first come first serve only, no reservations. There is a day use area along the northern border of the park, with a fire ring and gazebo.

Recycling bins, Dumpsters, porta-potties. No RV hookups at all, though there is a fill/dump station not far away by Safeway. Busy stretch of beach! There aren't many sites for camping, so there is that, but still very busy with day use, and directly off the highway. We saw service workers, but no camp host the three days we were there. Most neighbors were cool, but there were a few who ran generators and music pretty late. Awesome spot for meeting people, beautiful views/pics, bird/whale watching, and beachcombing. Not quiet, secluded, or private at all, but we had a grand time! Alaskan family of six, two adults, two kids, and two dogs 😊

It's $20 no hookups. Ok park several places. Fairly close to the spit. The same price as the city lot that is closer but just a parking lot. We had a site in the beach side.
