Please do your research, unlike I did. This campsite is literally next to a highway, which isn't too explicitly said on their reservation page. There are many camp sites here, and I reserved during Memorial Day weekend. Almost all camp sites were taken, which isn't too bad, because everyone seems respectful of everyone's space. Quiet hours are enforced from 10pm to 7am which is followed. There is one bathroom for the entire campground with plumbing and running water, and no showers, which I may be mistaken but I thought the website said there would be showers, which there isn't. Also, next to the highway is an air strip and a train depot. Overall, me and my wife make the best of situations, but for this instance, ill take the blame for not picking a better campground.
Large tent spots that aren't overcrowded. Picnic tables and fire pits on every spot. Price was reasonable for the busy season. Plenty of trees if you have hammocks. Just outside of town.
Stayed at this campground for 20 years but will never go there again after last summers experience, nor will anyone else we know. Their policies and customer service is the worst. Watch out for the change fees, the extra cost to make a phone reservation, the newer rules, the patronizing and condescending young staffers who told me, verbatim, “things will escalate and get real bad if the wrong name is on the reservation” after I reserved two spots for our larger group (you can’t do that anymore per the new rules, even though the online system lets you). We were then paid a special visit by one of the girls early the next morning to make sure we were complying. She was extremely rude. There is no evidence of hospitality at the city run spots and little improvements after 20 years. They should sell their campgrounds to a private company to help make Seward an enjoyable place to go again.
Augest 11- 2020 Needed a site now, was kicked out of MillersLanding because of bad customer service. The people on the phone at FAC were extremely helpful and compassionate. They offered us a couple of sites and we found one that would work. The RV camp ground was comfortable and likable. Clean bathrooms wife had no complaints. No ocean view but that was no big deal this time. I would recommend and we will go back. Great coustomer service.
Come on Seward campground,(forest acres campground)what do you do with the money we all spend down here at the campsites
Please take some of it and upgrade these underwater camping spots,
And the lack of bathrooms , what's up with that, and your picnic tables are so old. Where's all the increase in camping fare going too ?
