Stayed at this campground for 20 years but will never go there again after last summers experience, nor will anyone else we know. Their policies and customer service is the worst. Watch out for the change fees, the extra cost to make a phone reservation, the newer rules, the patronizing and condescending young staffers who told me, verbatim, “things will escalate and get real bad if the wrong name is on the reservation” after I reserved two spots for our larger group (you can’t do that anymore per the new rules, even though the online system lets you). We were then paid a special visit by one of the girls early the next morning to make sure we were complying. She was extremely rude. There is no evidence of hospitality at the city run spots and little improvements after 20 years. They should sell their campgrounds to a private company to help make Seward an enjoyable place to go again.
