In spite of wet weather, my 5 night stay here was great! Site is right on the water with great views (when not fogged in). Sites are fairly close together as with pretty much all parks in AK. Very quiet. Shower/bathroom facility is top-notch, clean, and private. Laundry is spotless and reasonable ($6 wash and dry). Staff is helpful and friendly. Short walk to docks, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend when in Valdez!

This is the best campground in Valdez. Overall stay was spectacular. The waterfront views just cannot be beat. Great ATT cell service, surprisingly good wifi, fairly easy back-in sites, large private rooms with shower facilities-water got very hot and stayed that way. Laundry facilities onsite are $3 to wash and $3 to dry. Quarters only which can be obtained at the main office (at the other bear paw campground). Walking distance to all the main shops and restaurants. Could’ve stayed here for weeks…the views just never get old.

My boyfriend and I tent camped here for 3 days in pouring rain and were actually pretty comfortable! Utilizing the facilities including a warm common area and laundry, we stayed clean and dry. We also caught a huge salmon right on the beach next to the campground, and saw harbor seals and sea lions feeding! We had such a great experience here. A great value for just $30 a night! Hope to stay here again during better weather!

Great park. Stayed in a tent area. (Myself, hubby and pup) great price 30 bucks a night. You have to park and walk up to your site. All tent areas have a platform for your tent and most have a picnic take. All secluded from each other. Love that it’s adult only, nice and quiet. Right on the water, and walking distance to everything. Only time we got in the car was to check out the hatchery. There is onsite laundry (3bucks for each/make sure to have quarters) three private bathrooms with showers. The main office is at the other park, which is where you check in at.
