Great military campground on base. Stayed here in a tent with my wife and dogs for 2 weeks while apartment hunting. Shower is clean and onsite laundry is great. Be careful if you have kids and dogs - no one obeys the 5MPH speed limit, not even the campground maintenance on his 6x6.

Note: There are washers and dryers are supposed to be for campground guests, but every that can access the base uses them.

Caution: Came back one day and found one of my pelican cases in the woods with bear claw marks on it - so use sturdy and airtight containers for your food out here.

Busy but quiet campground with plenty of trees and privacy, Always had spots opening up. Easy registration process. Find a spot, park, return to information hut to fill out an envelope for your site number with cash or check payment and drop it in the box. Camp host on site. Mostly pull pull-thru sites with plenty of space. Bathrooms, shower and laundry rooms clean and stocked. Saw a lynx walk thru and heard about a bear in the campground, We stayed a week while exploring the Anchorage area and enjoyed our space.

For the price, it's okay. No hot water in the bath house (same for fam camp), the playground was fenced off for 2 years and counting. Overall, there is a lot of space and it's great if you have an RV.

Easy self check in/out. Camp host does a great job of keeping the laundry and showers clean. I will definitely be back

Military Only. Nice campground with all pull thru sites. Roads are wide and easy to navigate. Sites we're level and wide. Almost all have FHUs with 30 amp service. There seemed to be one cross street that did not have sewer connections. We were there in mid June 2022. Less than 25% of the sites we're occupied. No reservations but if you call their number (it goes to outdoor rec) they can at least give you an idea of how full it is. Easy to get there from the highway so it is worth checking. While there we drove thru the Elmendorf FamCamp. Sites are close together, and sites are not very wide, lots of tree branches and no sewer hook ups.
