What happened, KOA? You used to give discounts to seniors, Vets, etcetera. Now, only if you are active duty military? Our campsite had litter, cigarette butts, bottle caps, paper.
We will never be back. Camp host is aggressive and extremely rude with a cluttered site that detracts from a beautiful view. Owner’s are polite and appear to be trying but the campground needs serious updating and on-site amenities. While it no doubt looks cool when the camp host feeds the bald eagles from a platform he’s built on the fence at his site, it’s illegal. No amenities other than the view. You’re much better off going to one of the more welcoming and friendly campgrounds on the Homer Spit where you will be near all of the amenities and attractions.
Our stay was wonderful! The Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We didn’t have a reservation. We were able to make one on a dry RV site for 2 nights then a dry site with just electric for a week. We moved a couple of times and had full hookups, beautiful sites for 11nights. These ladies worked very hard to accommodate us. I would absolutely recommend this KOA. Short drive to the Spit. I actually preferred that. The KOA was very clean and well groomed. Thank you to all the Staff! We had a fabulous time!!
