Just spent a week here. The place was always busy but very quiet and laid back. The staff were great and did an excellent job cleaning the sites when folks left. The laundry and restrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen. Getting to the beach was easy and it was large enough that you weren't on top of everyone. Some areas had to be avoided because of the wood debris that must have been coming from the paper plant on the river.
This was probably the single most gorgeous campground I've ever been to. The facilities are pristine! Right on the water by the lighthouse, definitely a beautiful location. Sites are generous in size, I was nothing short of impressed. We will definitely be returning, and I would HIGHLY recommend this campground to anyone in the UP.
Stay 8/14-8/20/23 site 9, 37' class A towing a jeep. Communication with the campground was great; got notice of upcoming reservation,
day before followup, and even a followup after checking out. Grounds immaculate, watched the crew rake, disinfect, and clean every site when a camper left including utility pedestal! Beach is great and very clean. Laundry, showers, and restroom very clean and in great working condition. Hookups easily accessible with cable - zero complaints. Would highly recommend this campground to others. Great job Manistique crew!
This is a top notch campground! Without a doubt a 10 out of 10! The sites are pristine and the view of the lake even better. The bathrooms very clean and well maintained along with laundry facilities. The staff is superb and came to love our golden retriever, Olive. Giving her treats on our walks. We loved it so much we went back twice. Highly recommend!
