We enjoyed our stay as the resort was centrally located for our planned visits to Dallas and Waco, etc. The room was a bit "worn" and dated (we joked about the styrofoam, red-glitter coated fake logs in the fireplace).

The staff was very nice at check-in and we didn't require much help otherwise.

No laundry in the room, but the available, shared washeteria was fine and free.

We could not see the lake from our room, but drove down to the marina for a nice view of the sunset one evening from the back of our open hatchback.

This resort is huge. There are many activities to keep you occupied. The room I was in was very spacious and well appointed. The kitchen was stocked with most basic cooking utensils and appliances. A washer and dryer was in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Sports courts are available for use by the guests.

There is good and bad in my review.

My boyfriend and I went to my family’s wedding in Tyler and stayed at this resort for the weekend. Friday night & Saturday night.

We didn’t end up having time to explore the resort except for going to the marina to see. Our stay was really awesome until we got back to the room from the wedding at 2am on Saturday night and I asked my fiancé if he could get the jacuzzi working for

Me in the bathroom because my body ached from dancing. He tried for maybe 30 minutes but the water would never get warm. The shower and our tub would not get hot. Even leaving them running. So I go back to the bed to find a HUGE centipede in our bed. I instantly started packing our stuff and we left for a 4.5 hour drive home at 2:30am in the morning INSTEAD of sleeping at leaving at 10am after family breakfast.

I went to the front desk to confront them about the situation but it was closed so we just left.

Kind of ruined my first experience staying at a resort.

We genuinely try to enjoy this vacation club. We regret buying into this. It seems like every time we visit a vacation clubs, we are aggressively pursued to upgrade our package. After doing further calculations, with the annual fees alone equal what holiday in rents these rooms out to a normal hotel guests. So we could have stayed here for the same price we pay in annual fees. That’s not including the purchase price. We were signed up for another sales meeting we never agreed to and when we became aware, we were told we would be charged $30 if we didn’t show up. After 20 minutes, they finally agreed to remove the $30 fee. The room was nice but none of the doors shut properly. The building is elevated on piers so it’s understandable that it shifts. We also had bugs in the room. A lot of bugs, mostly ants and grasshoppers. The shower head fell off. We called for service and they never came. THE SHOWER HEAD FELL OFF!!! Other than that the rooms are nicely equipped with good sized televisions. The water pressure is great. Beds are comfortable. Walkable distance to a very nice beach.

They messed up our reservations - we had to wait 2 hours for our rooms. The rooms have spiders in some corners, which suggests it needs more bug control and dusting. Kitchen was stocked with most items but lacked a strainer. There was dirt in the corners. The dishwasher had rust. Random dogs were making noise outside our room. I suggest bringing pantry and breakfast items and a Brita filter because the refrigerator doesn't have a filter. The grounds need better signage and directions. Location sucks. The rooms had a great layout.

Update to review: shoutout to Ashley the afternoon manager and Jeffery the guest relations manager for taking care of us. The morning manager was so rude and actually gestured at my sister in law to calm down when she wasn't even loud.

The whole property needs an upgrade. They tore down the playgrounds on the main campus, which was a bad idea. The locker rooms in the water park are DISGUSTING.
