About Campground

We have everything you need to have a great time in the Colorado Rockies. Tent sites, RV sites, and Camper Cabins! Relax in your shady site or take a dip in our heated outdoor pool. We also have a fishing pond, stocked with rainbow trout, a retro arcade, 24/7 lounge serving locally roasted coffee each morning, playground, and laundromat.

We’re outside the city lights at the base of Pikes Peak- 7600 feet elevation – yet our proximity to all the area’s many attractions makes us an ideal location for families looking for a summer adventure or folks just passing through for a couple of days. We strive to make every stay special. You will love it here at “the Duck”!

Lone Duck Campground was an excellent choice for our family to camp out while we visited the CO Renn Fest. Lone Duck is just a short drive from CO Springs and is in a beautiful rustic location with beautiful views all around. The staff was so nice. We loved that they had a small arcade on-site and a play ground for our son. They also had restrooms and a small inside dining room with outlets for those of us tent camping. We would love to visit Lone Duck again someday! Thank you

Areas to improve:

Cleanliness of restrooms, possible port-a-pots closer to the tent campers so they don't have to walk so far in the dark to use the rest rooms.

This campground is just fine. It’s in a great location but the campsites are extremely close together. Parking is scarce if you have a visitor. Bathrooms & showers are adequate but tight. Good laundry facility. Decently stocked store.

Awesome staff!!! Very friendly and helpful. Clean campground and everything was close. We had in the group a mechanical issue and they went out of their way to assist. Wait time was a week at all the shops we called and they found us a mechanic that fixed the issue on the same day. I will definitely stay here again when in the area

We had our vow renewal here. We rented out like the whole right hand third of the campground. It was freaking amazing. The sites were perfect for our purposes, and really beautiful as well. The location is perfect, being just outside the Springs. We had no problems with management; everyone was pretty chill with our event. The next day we took a small group swimming in the heated pool, which was lovely. It's not SUPER warm, but definitely warm enough to enjoy in early September for a couple hours. I'm SO glad we chose Lone Duck Campground for our event 💚

This is more of a complaint on the full hook up site. We’ve never stayed at the other sites below so can’t say much about it.

At the full hook up site, we were extremely disappointed how tight that area was. I think it should be restricted for smaller campers. Our camper is only 24 feet and we managed to get it into our camp site but it was TIGHT! It was hard to back it in with all the large campers around and all the trees. By the time everyone else rolled up and had all their cars there, there was hardly any room. Had to ask people to move their cars in order to get in & out. So frustrating. Also paying more money for a full hook up area, I would assume it would be nicer but it wasn’t. They literally did the set up in the worst area next to a freeway. Those who left a review saying the freeway noise isn’t too bothersome were obviously further away from it because it was so loud!! Sitting by a fire while hearing semis roar through is not very pleasant especially if you are a light sleeper, you will be hearing them all night long.
