Directions

Take exit 49 (if coming from Grand Junction) off I-70 to HWY 65, go approximately 18 miles on Hwy 65 and turn left onto HWY 330. Go 12 miles to the town of Collbran. Stay on 330 East past Collbran for about 12 miles to Mesa County Rd. 64 6/10ths Rd. and turn right at the “Vega State Park” sign. Go 5 miles to the Park Entrance Station, and go another half mile and turn right across Vega Dam to the Park Visitor Center. The campground is on the northeastern edge of Vega Reservoir.

Water was high in August and mosquitos were horrible..I wont ever come here again unless i check water conditions first...Unvearable

It was great, except when guys in boat wanted to inspect my daughters boat, with flag up, they ran over my 11 year old grandson and did nothing to help him or apologize. He complained about his foot hurting from pushing their boat off him. Not cool

Clean bathrooms,showers and park rangers are really nice and helpful. Great views but bring sunscreen and bug repellent.
