Nice well maintained and managed campground. Super clean bathrooms. Was surprised you had to pay a quarter to shower. The riverfront sites are also a nice size.

This is an amazing campground, the upkeep is top notch and even at it's busiest, it's still relatively quiet in the evening. The pool is heated and as clean as it gets. You feel like you are deep in the mountains, yet close to the stores that you may need. The fishing is great, both in the river and the canal. It's worth checking out.

I stayed at Waterside in 2021 while on a camping/biking trip. I don't usually like camping at private campgrounds because I prefer a more natural setting with more trees and more distance from the neighbors. However, I didn't have a problem in the cabin here since it faces away from the RVs and it was quite clean and comfortable. Is it a shed made into a cabin? Yes. But for someone like me who usually stays in PA State Park camping cottages on these trips, it was exactly what I was looking for. And unlike those cottages, the cabins at Waterside have A/C, which makes a trip in the heat of the summer a lot more pleasurable.

The bath house was a bit primitive, but clean. The showers take quarters, so make sure you have some on hand.

I didn't use the pool, but it looked very nice.

The lady who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful. There's a little store at the entrance for firewood and basic needs, which is a huge help and frankly something the state parks should consider so they can make some money and people can get small necessities without driving 5 miles.

There are a lot of places to hike and bike in the area, and when I get back to conquer some more of them, I'll have no hesitation about renting a cabin from Waterside again.

Nice campsite and very clean. Many seasonal sites and lots of golf carts driving around, but everyone waves and smiles. Felt very welcome.

Heated swimming pool, walking trails...

Stayed 4 nights and 5 days in July.

Nice place and pet friendly. Pets are supposed to be leashed at all times. However, some people don't obey that. I don't blame management as they can't be everywhere at all times to know that some people can't follow basic rules. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area for work again.
