Been a seasonal camper here for more years than I wanna remember . My wife and I love it here ! I have never seen a couple literally work from sunrise to sunset to maintain and keep up with the rigors of running this place ,Monday through Saturday . Been hearing heavy equipment operating off in the distance so I walked down and Deb (the owner) has got her backhoe out in the thick brush digging a drainage ditch to help keep the east end lots dryer . This was at 7:30 pm and she is still going an hour later trying to beat tomorrow's rain . These folks are incredible. I hope that all visitors think about this when they come to visit.

Stayed here while on a short vacation trip. Very quiet and clean. Stayed here with my Daughter and her husband and our grandson. We saw lots of deer at the entrance of camp grounds and they have a doc area for boats if you bring one and a boat launch. Cool breeze of the lake. Very nice.

Would not recommend. I highly encourage everyone to pay close attention to all the other low star reviews saying similar things to this!

First thing, the male workers often come into the ladies restroom. This is also where the showers are located, it’s one hallway, so a complete view of everything right from the door so you can imagine how unnerving that is. If they are really that worried about the lights being turned off (we were told that was the reason) then you could easily send a female worker to do that.

Second, one of the workers/owner was insanely rude. We show up to our campsite and ask the specific question if we need to register every single car that was on our site, we were told exactly that there is no limit to cars on the site and no we don’t need to do that. Our second night here this lady comes to our site threatening to call the police because our profanity is so insanely bad and we are so incredibly loud plus we are “blatantly” breaking the rules by having all of these cars here. We did also have a dog here visiting, we were not aware of the fact that dogs needed to register separately and we needed to pay $50 for her to be here. We obviously did not think we were being very loud and we did not know about the dog rule, but regardless of that, if we were being that bad why were we not given a warning first? Instead we were immediately threatened and treated like we were just a bunch of delinquents that needed to be kicked out.

If was so disrespectful and demeaning, being treated like we were a bunch of rule breaking juveniles. There was no chance given to us to adjust our behavior, no chance for us to even really get a word in. It didn’t matter what we said we were entirely disregarded. And what could we really have done? It is private property and yes they are allowed to remove people as they see fit. And that was something she made sure to make very clear to us right off the bat. We ended up leaving a night early because we absolutely didn’t feel safe there anymore after her threats, we believe if we had stayed there would be no scenario where the cops weren’t called on us. Her intimidation tactics were pretty obvious about that.

You will truly on only welcomed here if you are dog free, have no children, or children that make ZERO noise, and are at least in your 40s. Anyone outside of those standards will be marked as troublesome and treated as such.

Nice campground. Reasonably kept, spacious site although we found it poorly laid out for our average sized camper. Didn't run into any staff after check in so don't anything about some of the other reviews problems with rules or staff. We played our radio under the awning, had the AC on mid day and no one bothered us about it. Didnt use the bath house but did look inside out of curiosity, it was clean. Met some nice folks and enjoyed a relaxing weekend camp. Decent little store on site. We will return. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

We had 3 families stay here and our dogs. I would agree that this is a tight ship, but it was quiet, clean, and full of things to do. We fished nearly every day, paddle boarded, went to Nordhouse dunes, and our kids enjoyed the sand piles, pool, and tether ball. We called ahead for a site suggestion and the sites we got were perfect for what we needed. They were big, grassy and shaded. The owners work hard and it shows. The property was well maintained, quiet, and clean.

We did get a little bit of a talking to about our boys using Womens bathroom (they were 9 and under and Dad wasn’t with us), but nothing too rude. The lake there is really swampy. It’s great for fishing or canoeing/kayaking but really mucky, even far out from the shore. It didn’t bother us, since there is a pool and Lake Michigan is so close. We actually came to really love our evenings at the boat launch quietly fishing as the sun went down. We had a great week!
