Kyllonen's RV Park is located directly at the mouth of the Anchor River in Anchor Point. Enjoy a front row seat to the best that Alaska has to offer, with saltwater and freshwater fishing right at your doorstep and views of the Cook Inlet volcanoes. The area is famous not only for the fishing, but also the animal watching with bald eagles and moose being daily visitors. Kyllonen's RV Park is the most westerly RV Park in North America and has been providing the authentic Alaskan vacation experience since 1984.
From jct Hwy 1 (Sterling Hwy Mile Post 157) & Old Sterling Hwy: Go 1/2 mi S on Old Sterling Hwy, then 1-1/4 mi W on Anchor River Rd.
Loved our stay at Kyllonen's so much we stayed extra days. Thanks Colleen and Mike! If you are looking for a quiet place to stay with beautiful views and the best beach to visit this is the place to stay. The beach is a lovely 5 minute walk, was full of eagles and is sandy which is unusual for many Alaska beaches. Mike and Colleen go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Homer was great and we enjoyed the 15 min drive each day. VIsit 2 sisters bakery, K bay coffee, and the farmers market.
Loved it. We were offered a space in secondary camping area and it was perfect. We felt special and place was clean, quiet and roomy with beautiful view and privacy. It has been several years since we stayed at Anchor Point and Kyllonen RV campground is our place to stay. It is only 20 minute drive to Homer when during a Labor Day weekend, all RV parks there are full.
We go every year at Anchor Point to fish for halibut and this is the best spot to do that when you have an RV or Travel trailer to sleep on when you go fishing. They also have a fish cleaning station, laundry, and shower. Also, camp hosts Al and Lorie are the best, they accomodated us to move to a different spot so that we can get a full hook up on our trailer. Please bring them back as hosts next year!
