From Fairbanks follow the Richardson Hwy (State Route 2) about 60 miles south east
Birch Lake is a great spot weather summer time fishing or ie fishing in the winter! Thabk you Alaska for having such great hidden gems!
Nice boat ramp. Local lake resident found an item I had lost and tracked me down to return it.
A quiet and clean recreation area near the highway and not too far from Fairbanks with a great public use cabin.
A wonderful day fishing. The lake had been recently stocked and the fish were biting. The park and boat launch are in great shape. Trailer parking is available. Restrooms and picnic areas had been recently cleaned. Saw many decent fish caught from the bank right next to the boat ramp. Try eggs with a small piece of raw shrimp.
Very nice location, also for camping. In the day a bit loud due to jetski's but at night nice and quiet. The fire pits are a bit too high and don't have good air suction.
Awesome vista's over the lake at sunset
