About Campground

MANY CAMPERS REGRET ONLY STAYING ONE NIGHT IN BUFFALO AFTER THEY SEE ALL THAT THE AREA & CAMPGROUND HAS TO OFFER. IF YOU LOVE THE MOUNTAINS AND ENJOY EXPLORING, HIKING, FISHING, WILDLIFE, WATERFALLS & WILDFLOWERS, ETC., THE BIG HORN MOUNTAINS AND CRAZY WOMAN CANYON ARE A MUST SEE. IN ADDITION, THE AREA IS RICH IN HISTORY: RED CLOUDS WAR, BOZEMAN TRAIL, FETTERMAN & WAGON BOX BATTLES, OUTLAW CAVE, ETC.

We have something for every type of camper. From Big Rigs that are towing to Harley rides with tents. RV owners can choose from our Deluxe Patio Sites, long full hook up pull-through sites, to back in sites.

The Deluxe RV sites include a concrete patio site, gas barbeque grill, patio furniture, fire ring and a relaxing swing.

One Deluxe Patio is surrounded by a fence for privacy and allows your kids & dog to roam freely. This is a very large site and will be enjoyed by the whole family.

Our 1 & 2 Bedroom Camp Cabins all come equipped with air conditioning, heating and wall mounted TV/VHS or DVD, front porch swing, charcoal grill and picnic table..They are conveniently located close to the bathrooms and showers.

For tent campers, we have tent sites available with picnic tables, electricity, water and built in campfire pit.

The staff was very helpful. They called me before their office closed to make sure I knew where I could find my reservation when I arrived late. I thought that went above the normal service.

My campsite was beautifully situated on the creek. See photos.

The campground looks like it is fairly new. The gravel appeared newly compacted.

I had no issues.

Absolute top-notch campground! All facilities were clean and functioned perfectly. Staff was nice as can be and extremely helpful & welcoming. Buffalo is a neat little town with lots of character, plenty of shops and dining options not far away. Stayed 2 nights and loved it, will be back again next year. Would give more stars if I could.

This site is completely fenced in with many covered areas with nice tables and picnic tables. There’s a fire pit with benches, and nice tall trees for shade. A small grassy area, but mostly concrete. We loved this space! It allowed us to enjoy our evening fire with our four pups free roaming inside the enclosure. Morning coffee was equally enjoyable, and made our affinity for Buffalo KOA grow even more! The nicest staff, clean and very well kept campground in the area! Our 45 ft motorhome towing our Jeep fit with space to spare. Lots are level, and graveled. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice spot.

Beautiful and pleasant stay! Staff was very friendly. Location was easy to find and spacious. Great for families and dog friendly with a few pet areas. Lots of spaces to relax and children to play. Laundry and showers is a great amenity. Lovely walk around the creek area to the beach. Recommend water shoes lots of slippery rocks. Overall a great stay!!

We became stranded due to car trouble, in December! We called and they called us back immediately and had us a cabin in just a few minutes. We ended up staying 2 nights. The restrooms and showers were clean and water temperature perfect! Such a beautiful area and the residents of Buffalo are so nice!!
