Free campgrounds are rare. This one is on the east end of town on a major through highway. Night lights, power, 110,30,50? At about a dozen sites on a circular road each with a concrete table. A shelter house and toilet on site
It is free! Free electric hook ups. About 10 spaces along a circle drive. Some road noise. Restrooms are available but primitive. Water available, no hook ups. A nice shelter house. On the East edge of town, right off highway
What a welcome spot provided by the city. Everything a traveler needs at just the right time. Rode in from Bad Lands National Park and found this spot via iOverlander. Seemed fairly quite during my one night stay.
Came up on this place by chance back in 2016 while motorcycling out west from working in northern Michigan for the summer. A welcome and clean place to pitch a tent and get some rest. Even chatted with some friendly folks staying there at the time. Would recommend!
Great stop for a night or two while traveling to get some rest. Free electric, water, and picnic tables. They ask for a donation which is reasonable. Well maintained and quiet with some road noise and an occasional train nearby. Dump station as well.
