Overall this campsite was a great experience!! Made me and my husband think about going every year, this was our second time and it was better than before. If you want quiet and privacy, go on weekdays, clean bathrooms. Gave a real camping experience of course, the service is top tier. The Lake was very fun, lifejackets required!!! One complaint is we woke up to a homeless person going through our trash and looking at our stuff

We are new to camping and our stay at Jackson Lake did not disappoint. The campground is close to family and friends in Columbus and we just needed an overnight hook-up. We were able to book a RV site the same day we needed to stay. With two young teen girls with us, the lake and inflatables were a perk! Life jackets are provided and required. YES, there are fish and snails in the lake, lol.

Management went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of during our stay. Having a new-to-us motorhome, we managed to lock ourselves out shortly after arriving. They were extremely helpful with the situation. "Clean-up" seems to be on the agenda of the new management with the goal of making the campground attractive to families hoping they return frequently. I would agree this is a family friendly location and staff. They have also hired a security person who drives around the campsites frequently. Don't be surprised if you are informed to keep your dog from barking or your campsite quiet after hours. He really watches that so others can enjoy their camping experience as well.

Suggestions for booking, use of the lake activities are only during your check-ed in hours so, arrive closest to check in time to get a good amount of time in the water. Day passes are available too if you want to enjoy the water. We prefer less people around our site so #159 or any around the wooded areas would be good for that. We did not go over to the tent camping area, but it sounds like a good time!

Overall, we would stay again.

My husband and myself went and stayed last night in our tent. It was a wonderful experience. We met some great people that came to Ohio for the Christian music festival and on there way home to Illinois they stopped to camp for the night. Staff was hospitable. The bathrooms and showers where nice and clean, it was just an over all great night. We will definitely be returning.

The campsite is Beautiful and peaceful. We would have loved staying here had the management been upfront and clear on policies. We came in the evening and camped. In the morning, my kids were all excited to go swimming and do the lake park. I spoke to 3 different people. On 3 different occasions. In bits and pieces I come to find out: yes the pool opens at 10. No there are no pool bathrooms or showers open till 12. You can only use the pool till 11 (checkout time). No you can’t go to the lake water park that opens at 12. You were only able to use it yesterday. No one told you? Sorry, that’s a strict policy. I understand and respect that this is the way the grounds were run. However, I did read and agree to the terms. I did not see it say anywhere about these hours and policies. Had the times and policies been clearly written when we booked the campsite, we would have been able to plan accordingly. We left with very disappointment kids. And $80 a night for $30 of amenities able to be used (camp site).

Such a beautiful area. We had our camping wedding this weekend there and also celebrated my birthday the next day! Everything was amazing, I definitely recommend this place to anyone. Sadly I do not remember the managers name, but he was truly the best! So patient, helpful and understanding. We can't wait to camp there more!
