We had a great time here at Whispering Hills! That said, I don’t think we will be back. The pool, mini golf, disk golf were fun activities enjoyed by all, but the exorbitant price for a primitive campsite, dirty bathrooms, dirty/dusty campsite will keep us away.
Beautiful place for nature lovers and campers. Quiet and clean. Swimming pool, Fishing and golf included. The water is high sulfur so smells like poop. Bathrooms could be better. We did the tent camping.
In Whispering Hills under the sky so wide,
We camped with our kids, by the fireside.
Activities aplenty, laughter filled the air,
Fireworks lit the night, with a dazzling flare.
Tent sites were shaded, a welcome delight,
But the dust all around, wasn’t quite right.
Playground mulch spread might bring some ease,
To this otherwise, nature’s masterpiece.
But oh, the restrooms, they did dismay,
A child's misfortune, a tu*d in their way.
Not their own, yet it clung to their shoe,
An unpleasant surprise, a memory askew.
Disc golf, mini golf, games galore,
Yet, the bathroom flaws, we couldn’t ignore.
Floors merged as one, shower to loo,
Water overflowed, causing a messy brew.
For a hundred a night, we hoped for the best,
Yet left with a feeling, quite unimpressed.
Whispering Hills, so much potential you hold,
Fix those flaws, and stories of grandeur will be told.
This campground never fails to please. We go every year for our women's retreat for church and have the most wonderful time! The staff is courteous and attentive. The cabins are nice although the housekeeping could use a little improvement. Overall a very satisfying stay!
We love camping here every year, especially for tric or treating. Fun, safe atmosphere for kids and adults. The park is pretty nice all the way around and maintained. The back lot for RVs has water and electric but not sewer. They have full hook ups as well on other side of park. We prefer to camp in the back part of the park because it's a little more secluded and kinda feels more like camping to us. We used portable septic and dumped at station when nessessary. The top half of the park by the entrance can get a bit crowded on the weekends but we can usually always find a spot here for our 35ft travel trailer at any time. They have just about every kind of cabin, from small and cheap to very nice. They even have yurts you can rent and they also have primitive tent camping as well. We always rent a golf cart so we can get from one side of the park to the other side pretty conveniently. Staff is has always been very nice and helpful with anything you need. Overall pretty relaxed and fun atmosphere. They have awesome trails all over the park. The flying squirrel trail is our favorite. We get our rain boots on and go walk the creek with our kids, we all enjoy it very much.
