About Campground

Chestnut Ridge is a quiet, relaxing family campground offering camping, swimming, fishing, and pavilion rentals. Nestled on 55 wooded acres in northeastern Ohio, conveniently located two miles north of I-80, Exit 234 Hubbard, halfway between Pittsburgh and Cleveland and right outside of Youngstown, Ohio.

Many of you know this park as being Glen Echo or Lor- El.

We’ve heard many wonderful stories from campers and visitors alike who have shared with us fond memories of how this park was an important part of their childhood. If you are visiting for the first time, we welcome you. If you’d like to revisit and reminisce…… then welcome back.

This is our second year camping here and we plan on making this an annual visit. It’s a perfect half way point between Pittsburgh and Cleveland, so our friend group is able to meet up with ease. The campsite owners are gracious and personable and were a pleasure to talk with! Based on the upkeep and cleanliness of the campground, you can tell how much care goes into guest experience! Thank you for another great year here and we plan on returning soon!

Enjoyed our stay. Very nice owners and the park itself is just beautiful. It's a quiet and peaceful country park. Felt like home, in the deep woods of East Texas.

The campground was very nice and our site was awesome! The bathroom was dirty and there were no dogs allowed in the bathroom but the door was always open for other critters to go in. Tons of bugs and spiders inside. Also NO hot water to shower with! Friendly people tho.
