It's a fun place for some summer fun but the pricing is absolutely outrageous. I know they say it's to keep the place looking nice and clean but they charged $15 for me to bring in my 6 month old baby. My 2 year old cost $22, same for my 8, 6, and 5 year old. Surely children under even a year could be free of charge? They charge based on height, not on age. My two year old is an average height but just above 30" so BAM! He goes from $15 to $22! I mean, really? For these reasons I would say it's NOT family friendly. If you figure that even people who have one or two children would be paying $22 a person...that's a great chunk of money for a pool that has amenities mostly geared towards older kids.
Furthermore, we did get small ice creams for my kids and once again, price gouging. $4.25 for a small cup of ice cream. The Styrofoam cup was barely the size of a 1 cup measuring cup and the workers put two measley scoops of ice cream. I would estimate not even a full cup. There are plenty of ice cream places that charge that amount for a small ice cream but their cups are larger and they really pack in the dessert.
We will not be returning and I don't recommend this place to anyone simply because of the price. My kids did love playing there but they would be just as happy at a splash pad or Dogwood pool in North Canton.
This was our families first trip here and I gotta say this will be a summer trip every year. The staff was 10 star amaizing, friendly, kind and courteous. I only wish the allowed dogs in the cabins aleast for a refundable deposit. Our ESA puppy would have loved it.... Other than that we had a blast. THANKS JELLYSTONE
We stayed in a cabin, there was coffee still in the coffee maker, the one pan was not clean and there was a pair of shorts and shirt under the bed. I know it is the renter responsibility to clean (which I did do before we left this morning) but they also have cleaning ladies whom should double check everything when they clean.
Needs a little more activities for older kids.
Skylar & Diana were awesome with the activities tho, they were our favorite!!
Every other staff person was wonderful to work with since before check in & during our stay!
Won't camp here again. The sites were muddy and smelled bad, generally. The creek running through camp was very overgrown and buggy. We try to camp closer to the end of the season due to less people camping. We loved every Jellystone we've been to and then we came to the Akron-Canton location. The hours for activities and swimming during the week are ludicrous for it being prior to labor day. Cannot swim until 4PM due to the lifeguards being in school until the end of the school day, although the sign says swim at your own risk. The activities also begin at 4PM so your family will have to choose one or the other. Your stay is slightly discounted at this time of year, but they are at other locations as well but you can swim throughout the day. Needless to say we are very disappointed because the pool was the main draw for us to come to this location.
The staff and service here are top notch! We’re here now (2nd time) and both times, they have five out of their way to learn our daughters name and treat her like royalty. The RV site with the patio is huge and very spacious. The grounds are beautiful. Highly recommend!
