Have used the cabins there for 32 straight yrs, while fishing in May with friends. . It is a great lake to fish on. We catch Walleye, Smallmouth bass, Crappie, Perch, Catfish, and Muskie. They have updated many of the cabins, so that is appreciated.

Plenty to do has a beach, places to rent boats, a flea market on the weekend and if you want to go somewhere to shop not that far away. The cabin we rented is great.

Our family has loved this park for decades… Especially the “basic cabins.” They are a treasure! I love how they have upgraded the kitchen with new appliances. The inside of the cabins are aesthetically beautiful and I love to stay in them for my own personal retreats to rejuvenate. The area is so quiet and serene – we kayak, fish, hike Beaver Trail, see SO many deer, and most of all, study and photograph the many birds in the park…including some migratory warblers who nest here. Thank you to all who work hard to keep this park the Jewel that it is!

All cabins are reasonably priced and equipped for a great family or couples camping experience. Some of the larger cabins have been remodeled and are nicer than some hotels. Full size refrigerators, stoves, screened in porch make it easy to bring and cook plenty of food and sides. Nearby grocery store makes it easy to run and shop so you don't have to bring everything with you. Also a couple bars/restaurants if you don't want to cook. Each cabin has their own fire pit and charcoal grill. Some cabins are pet friendly, we brought our dogs. Book early, they fill fast!
