Camp Peace Hocking Hills, campsite

Camp Shroom Hocking Hills, campsite

Camp Heart Hocking Hills, campsite

Family-owned and operated, our cabins and primitive campsites are designed to promote privacy so guests can immerse in this natural environment, rejuvenate and recharge.

Directions

Head east of Laurelville up Thompson Ridge Rd. just under 2 miles. On Your right side you will see a sign on each side of our main driveway, reading "Raven's Retreat." The next driveway, to the left of the main driveway, will lead back to the primitive camp sites. As you go down this driveway you may see there is a green gate that is rarely shut. In order to unlock this gate there is a key stashed in a cavity on the backside of the pillar behind the sign that says "Raven's." Please replace this Key after unlocking the gate. After passing this gate you will continue to go strait for approximately 1/2 of a mile and follow the driveway back to the parking area.

Stayed at "The Pollinator " and it was the perfect cozy little getaway.Very quiet and private. The host are very attentive and nice. We were greeted with many different bird throughout the day especially mornings back patio overlooks a cute little pond,10 mins from local restaurants, 30mins to downtown Logan and around 20 mins to hocking hills. And if you don't wanna leave the property they have trails on the property to hike. Would recommend to any couple looking for a private getaway!

This place was so incredible and such an amazing find! Raven and Dj are incredibly sweet and their home is so beautiful and peaceful. We loved watching the bee’s out of the window, among other amazing insects around the property. I’d never enjoyed saunas that much but my mind was changed this weekend after having a clear view of the beautiful forest while sweating out all the bad food we ate after our long hike. With the lack of Wi-Fi we were really able to unplug and enjoy each other’s company more, along with listen to some of the wonderful tunes on their record player. We made really good memories here and would love to return soon!

Bonus points for the water system, as it sparked conversation between us about how we can conserve water more appropriately in our daily lives and made us appreciate how we used our water. Thank you guys! :)

We had a great experience with the private camping areas. Our campsite (Camp Shroom) was clean, private, and well maintained. Owners were very communicative and responsive. We’ll be back!

Super easy and nice experience. Campsites were neat and clean—luxurious for primitive camping, but water/trash (or just trash) would be a nice accommodation for the price point. Campsites are not nearly as “private” as they are advertised, but still a great spot nonetheless.

Thank you again Raven’s Retreat!

very cute site but the sites are very close together. no one else ended up camping the night we did so it was private but if multiple sites were booked at once it wouldn’t be very private. directions to get there were great though and the plot was perfect for the four of us. we had a great time!!
