Had a great time at Camp Cedar! Stayed in a unit (Hickory) and it was fun and had everything we needed. Could have been cleaner, but it was not a deal breaker. Excited to come back when weather is warmer to explore the full potential of the place. Conviently located by everything. Rented a golf cart and it was very nice to have. Shower houses were very clean and nice. Everything has been so nicely kept and maintained. Will be back with friends!
I have to say I am VERY happy with our stay this weekend! I am already looking at planning another weekend SOON!!! It was so fun and relaxing. My son and I absolutely loved it! There was activity center for the kids that was included. The activity center is located near the pool, playground and other outdoor games. The kids can pick all kinds of things to do there such as, painting, board games, making bracelets, arts& crafts and more!!! The pool is amazing!! You have a family pool and an adult pool. There are two bar areas. One backs up to the adult pool. A nice little store up front for anything you might of forgotten.
A grill right outside your cabin or campsite. A cute gas fire pit to make s’mores or cook on if you like. If you want to go to the theme parks it is minutes from Kings Island and Great Wolf Lodge. They have a free shuttle that goes to Kings Island which is great. The area is quite, VERY WELL KEPT! Everyone is nice and welcoming. You won’t hear a lot of noise or craziness. It’s the perfect place to go if you want to relax but still have some fun.
The only thing I found is I thought there would be more utensils when cooking. I went to make a pizza and no pizza cutter. I went to make a pasta salad and no measuring cups. So next time I may have to pack up a lot more of those types of items.
Here is a word of advice. First if you’re thinking about booking here, don’t do it! If you are with the company, this place will NEVER last with your type of customer service. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This place is a mess and cannot be trusted. I’ve heard three difference things from your customer service. There is no manager to talk to. I booked a campsite in Feb 2023 to stay from March 31-April 1, 2023. I ended up having to cancel for personal reasons. First I was told I couldn’t get a refund, but I would instead get a credit to apply for a new booking. Then I tried to rebook, and since there was no customer service to talk to when I called, I sent an email and I received a reply via email that I could rebook for 2024 (I have the email), but that they didn’t know their new rates for the new year and I need to wait, which didn’t make sense to me because you can book on their website?? Then I was told by their customer service rep via phone that the campground will be under new management and that they would just issue me a refund in 3-5 business days. When my refund never showed up, I called their number back and was told I couldn’t rebook because it would have to be for the 2023 season only and I couldn’t get a refund period. What if I made a reservation to camp and it was my last camping date for the season? You have a few days to rebook? When I asked to talk to a manager, I was told none was available!
***Update, this place is under new management and have reached out to address the issue and make the situation right, which is much appreciated! I’m hopeful for a better experience in the future!!
Some friends of mine are staying at camp cedar with their fifth wheel and two dogs. It's quite a nice atmosphere and very clean and professionally managed. I was unable to tour the facility completely but from what I could see it's the nicest RV park I've ever seen. It's proximity to Kings Island and other tourist areas is very convenient. There are also many other fast food and shopping options close by. Do yourself and your family of favor and visit Camp Cedar RV Resort , you'll be glad you did.
My family and I have stayed here four times over the last year in our class A motor coach. We have a season pass at the local amusement park, and so this is the perfect place to stay! The restaurant is wonderful, as well as the shuttle service to/from the amusement park. This is truly a luxury resort, and it is highly recommended!
