Beautiful location! The drive (though manageable) will take a little while. However it is worth the drive! Handicap accessible and kid friendly! I highly recommend this location for a day trip or even for camping.

There are some really nice hiking trails up here. Nothing too difficult but it can get a bit steep in some spots. You can walk to the upper and lower lakes on a 2 or 3 mile loop. Takes a few hours if you are stopping to look at the views. First lake is accessible by car. I would not recommend going up in a vehicle with low ground clearance. SUV, ATV, or Truck is just fine. There is one outhouse and plenty of parking at the end of the road.

This location is for the peak of Roman Nose. You cannot drive a vehicle over 50" wide up to this point. Plan on hiking, ATV or horseback riding to the peak. Look up Roman Nose Lakes for the rec area that has parking.

Amazing view from up here. You are at 6,000 feet if you made it!

This place is by far the most beautiful I’ve ever been to! Be prepared for a LONG drive, terrible roads, and make sure you try and go when the roads are decent. July is probably the safest time. I was amazed at the views. There is a little hike, but several cool alpine lakes to cool off in once you get to them!
