Amazing view. 4.5 hours hiking. I could find some huckleberries near trail and mountain goats on the top.
Such a beautiful hike! Did have trouble finding the trail head tho. For anyone attempting it, go left at both Y's in the road! (Edit; If you hike it this year, be aware there was a couple trees downed on the path but there pretty easy to get around.)
Great hike. All up but not hard. Views the whole time. Amazing mountain goats to top it all off. Might be a bit longer than everyone says.
Worth every step! We started the hike at 9am and returned to the truck at 4pm! We visited a little on the trail with other hikers! We spent about 45 min eating lunch at the top! It is basically a 3hr up 3hr down! Pretty impressed with all caliber of people who made it from young to older! I for one don't enjoy hiking unless there is something to see and there is everything to see up on top from goats to the lake to mountain tops, to the river, to Clark fork! It was amazing! Bring plenty of water we went in Oct when it was cooler and each drank 5, 16oz waters a piece!
Super cool hiking trail even though it’s a little hard to keep up for hiking beginners. We saw a mountain goat before we reached the top of the mountain.
