We camped here for 6 days. There were a group of boaters who partied all weekend blaring their music until 230 am. There was a group of campers with 3- 4 wheelers that their children were riding like a nascar racetrack around and around the campground for hours. Then they ran their 4 wheelers on the beach and were tearing that up. We asked them to try to quiet down at midnight and that said this was their spot and we were lucky because usually they party until 0400. I have been coming here for thirty years and I have never seen such disrespectful people before. It is a beautiful spot. I feel privileged to be able to enjoy it but these folks just disrespect not only other campers but this beautiful spot as well. So sad. It’s a long drive in and we hoped for some peace and quiet.

Be very careful when using satellite mapping. Google told us to go the wrong way and luckily someone helped us get there. Expect to drive in the mountains on dirt roads for at least an hour and 45 minutes. You need to have a car with all-wheel drive and decent clearance. Do not take Lakeview Cutoff Road. The drive is well worth it though, the campgrounds are beautiful and the water in August is perfect. Boating here and camping would be ideal. There is no running water but there are pit toilets that are clean. We also found cut wood waiting for us. The campground is well patrolled you feel safe. We met the Ranger and he was super cool.

We found out about the camp grounds that were perfect. We took our 26ft class C rv pulling our 25ft pontoon boat. Came threw Lakeview and man it was a horrible drive! Them roads are not.meant for an rv let alone pulling a boat . Once you get to the end it was paradise ! Very beautiful! Nice dock ,locals ,that boat in BTW were awesome. No one believed we towed our boat up threw them mountains . But we made it and will go back . Next time we will launch the boat in bayview and boat in. We had a great time! The roads are bad! Took us 3.5 hrs at night to work the road but hey we did it and made it out. Wouldn't recommend anyone driving a rv up there unless you plan on a crazy drive 😜 washed out road in several areas ,pot holes galore.

Swimming beach and small boat launch. Several campsites with water access and a bunch more further from the water. 2 vault outhouses that may or may not have tp so bring your own. Beautiful views of the lake. If camping over the weekend expect loud and obnoxious people fighting and playing loud music late into the night on the docks. Don't use Google Maps directions to get there, it is wrong. Follow the signs for gold bar lodge then it's a straight shot. Lots of off road vehicles play in that area so stay on your side of the road. Easiest way to get there is by boat but dock is often full on the weekend.
