I'm so glad I chose to stop here and camp, it was so perfect. The sound of the stream in the back ground, a little lake nearby, with proximity to a larger lake around the corner. It was quiet, other campers were respectful and friendly while I was there. Bring cash for payment and if you have an interagency pass, you get half off. The areas for tents were set up nicely with a framed wooden area with the soil beneath raked neatly and flat, perfect for a sleeping spot. Picnic tables and fire rings also at each campsite. Overall, super thrilled with it and would stay again! Make sure you bring the bug spray!
Lovely small campground on a beautiful lake! Perfect for fishing and kayaking!
Peaceful and well equipped for a large or small family to go camping. Has bathrooms, and docks for fishing and for swimming, separated from each other but within eyesight. Water is always warm, but also is brown, so don't be shocked by that. Been going there for years, since I was a kid! Fishing is fun and delicious with bass and trout being my favorites!
Nicely kept campground close to Canada. 10 sites, first come first served, $15 a night ( as of 2020). Campsites are very close to one another, so not a lot of privacy. Each site had a fire ring and picnic table. You do not see the lake from the campsites, it is just over a small hill. Potable water was on and the vault toilets were clean. There is a nice swimming dock with a ladder and a separate fishing dock. There are also a few short trails that start in the campground.
Lovely site, beautiful lake and well maintained walking trail. We appreciated the free firewood that was left behind and the fact that it's free in the off season.
