From jct US 95 & US 2: Go 7 mi E on US 2, then 2 mi S on paved and gravel road.
Nice trees. Our first site we had to move as we were assigned to one where electricity didnt work. Next site water pump very hard to work. Cleaning bathrooms every morning at 7 made us go across campground to another bathroom. Had to drive our car as we are disabled. Road into campground steep and sharp switchbacks.
This resort is very nice and beautiful. Its a true family place. Playground, basketball court, swimming, boating, rafting and fishing. All the sites are very clean. Bathrooms are always clean and hot free showers!!!!!! This is a must stay spot. I always keep coming back!!!! The beauty of the river as you drive down to the campsite is just breathtaking. So if your traveling and need a place to park your RV or pop up your tent, please see this place, you might not want to leave. Oh BTW there is a house you can rent down there too.
We booked our tent spots online and honestly I felt a little bamboozled. Our spouts weren't on the online map and if I had known where they were located beforehand I would have cancelled(right next to the entrance directly in front of the office with NO privacy). There was also VERY loud ground maintenance going on right across from our spots 3 nights in a row(after 6pm). It was very disruptive & obnoxious.
Also... we decided to end our 6 night stay 2 nights early right after we checked in because we were unhappy with our spots, the office person made us sort it out with our other group members who were only staying 3 nights instead of just giving us a refund...
I hate to post anything negative online but I feel like this information could help future campers.
*That being said the campground is very beautiful with big shade trees and the swimming hole is fun. The grounds and restrooms are well maintained and sparkly clean. And they rent out kayaks for a great daily rate!
Twin Rivers Canyon Resort was a beautiful place to stay.
It is extremely well maintained with clean, spacious campsites. The host is incredibly friendly, personable, and flexible. There is access to an excellent swimming area, and to the river very close by with opportunities to fish, kayak, and so forth.
The bathrooms are exceptional with nice showers and laundry machines. They are cleaned daily and were in great shape.
This is one of the finest campground I have ever stayed in. I would highly recommend!
Switchbacks coming down are no joke. If you're over 30ft, you should be really really comfortable with cornering. Staff was great, and the grounds are really beautiful and well taken care of. Train rolls through once a night. Saw a big whitetail and a couple of turkeys. Decided to stay an extra couple of nights.
