The trees shaded areas are lovely with big beautiful trees. The playground is available all the time and a great place for kids to play.
We are a family of 6 and the pool and mini golf were a big draw for us as we were just passing through and needed a place for an evening of fun and relaxing. We were very disappinted with the very tight rv site we were gived. They stacked us all right next to each other! It was very unhandy for our family. The fire bit was too close to our vehicle to even use! Meanwhile there were more unused sites. We were offered another site after we already set up.
we were very disapointed to learn The pool closed at 545.(that about the time wee arrived) when I called the after hours number to ask about mini golf they said because the office is closed we can't get clubs and balls and the only way to use it is if we had our own along. It seems this campground is more geared towards seasonal customers as there are alot of them there. and the sites for non seasonal is direcly next to a skeet shooting range!! thankfully we had loud fans inside our camper to dull the noise. We will not be returning.
Nice campground with very friendly people. Great place to stay at for the night. The site was small but it has a nice playground, swimming and mini golf. It was just what we needed.
Very nice laid back campground. Many unique seasonals all around this little ‘community’. We found this gem of a stop as an alternative to driving through the Chicago area when traveling back from the east heading back to SE Wisconsin. East of the campground in El Paso you will find two awesome Antique stores and a great Mexican restaurant.
Check in was very pleasant. Pull though sites are long enough but very small. Biggest problem was the gun range 150ft from my door. The shot gun rounds every 5 seconds from 2:30pm to 6:00pm .
After a long day of travel, I was looking forward to being able to set up and relax. The site we were given was plenty long enough but barely wide enough to open the slides on both sides. The neighbor had a picnic table that was so close that I had to sit on it to connect the stinky slinky, and the entire area was a mud pit.
I, like others, didn't see any disclaimers about the sports club next door. As a Veteran with a bit of PTSD the constant gun fire was anything but relaxing. I get it, you don't list something like that on the top of your amenities or nearby attractions.
As others have said, this is probably a great place for the majority of the sites which are full with seasonal campers.
We are just passing through and will avoid staying here on future trips.
