Happy Goat Retreat did not disappoint. Our son and daughter-in-law rented the retreat for the weekend. Family, friends and their wedding party were all there, it was a fantastic time. The staff was very accommodating and facilities were very nice. The Cadillac Suite was fantastic and The Barndo provided a great outdoor gathering spot in the evenings.
Happy Goat Retreat is amazing . A great way to unplug. It’s a modem cabin with nice and cozy feel. I really enjoyed my time here and they have so much to offer while you’re there. I was excited to see the movie projector outdoors .I have 0 complaints. The host is such a genuine person. I had a wonderful experience. Book your stay
We just returned from a 40 person family reunion. We stayed at the Happy Goat Retreat, which was perfect for our large extended family. The housing was very nice and everyone felt comfortable and had plenty of room for privacy and for group gatherings. our family stayed in the Cadillac House, which sleeps 10 comfortably, although we did have two on air mattresses. Everyone else stayed in containers which had been modified into very nice hotel room style accommodations. There were plenty of outdoor spaces for our favorite games of disc golf and bocce ball, a small pool, which the kids used quite a bit, and fire pits, volleyball, etc. The kitchen and the big house was very well appointed and we were able to cook Thanksgiving dinner for everyone and served plenty of wine, drinks, etc. using what they had on site. We did bring some supplementary plates and silverware since we knew in advance they only had enough for two dozen people, which is plenty for most groups. We received excellent service, including minute to minute, contact with the host and were able to request a few special things, such as doing some laundry and printing a few sheets of paper in their office. Very gracious! And yes, there really are goats!
My Husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend and had the absolute BEST time! The owners were incredibly kind, letting us come a little earlier than our check in time with no problems. They also brought us new fire wood when what we had got a little damp. This place was so relaxing and so much fun! We will absolutely stay here again and recommend it to everyone!!

This was a fantastic experience. Gretchen was our main point of contact, but we also dealt directly with the owners of the property and everyone was so accommodating. Our friends and family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Happy Goat Retreat. We rented the entire property which included a large home and all of the subsequent containers-turned-cabins for our daughter's wedding, and it was the best. If I didn't already live about a mile up the road, I would make this a destination for my wife and my weekend getaways, for sure.
I guess what I am saying is, if you are looking for a large property for a good-sized event, or just a private stay, this place is PERFECT!
