Record summer heat make Death Valley a land of extremes. Yet, each extreme has a striking contrast. Towering peaks are frosted with winter snow. Rare rainstorms bring vast fields of wildflowers. Lush oases harbor tiny fish and refuge for wildlife and humans. Despite its morbid name, a great diversity of life survives in Death Valley. \*\*[https://www.recreation.gov/camping/gateways/2662]()

Almost to state line on the corner of Lincoln and Death Valley Junction Rd. the Nevada Highway 373 in Nevada. Address is also 4445 South Highway 373 Amargosa Valley Nevada 89020.
Don't expect an official campsite, there is no sign indicating the campsite or other reception office here. This is a vacant lot on which the owner has built a campsite. No welcome or anything, we wondered if we were in the right place but from the photos, yes.
Sink without water, dusty barbecue and a few tables available. The toilets are accessible when the market is open... Which never happened when we were there.
If you're looking for something basic, I recommend the free campsite a few kilometers away, towards Death Valley: Desert campsite The Pads. $18 is a lot to pay for the vacant lot we slept on.
Just a gravel place behind a closed market. No water, no toilets because the market was closed during our stay.
Don't pay for that.
This is not a Campground
People where so amazing and everything was nice and clean loved it. Very amazing owners are very nice nice to see people that nice 😊
Paul could not have been more gracious & accommodating! He was concerned about our travels at a VERY windy time. He went out of his way to be sure we were safely hooked up with electricity, and water if we needed it (we didn’t for camper van). There is an outdoor sink to wash dishes. It is not fancy, it is basic, but accommodates needs - it has flush toilets and a shower if needed. (Temporary shortage of TP, but other supplies offered, but we had our own, being campers.). The store had a wide variety of items- food, camping supplies, clothing, electronic supplies- most (maybe not all) of basics, etc. The facilities are a work in progress, but we enjoyed our stay there because Paul & his family were kind & accommodating- good people; reinforcing that if we needed anything, to let him know via cell/text.
