Ford State Fishing Lake and Wildlife Area is located in Ford County, approximately 3 miles north and 5 miles east of Dodge City. The property consists of 260 acres of uplands, 10 acres of wetlands, and a 45 acre lake. The uplands and wetlands are made up of heavily timbered riparian areas along the creek, native grass on the side slopes, and old crop fields on the flatter upland terrain. An old 4-H campis located on the east side and is presently maintained as a Boy Scout area.
nice to see it back to life.

on summer of 2011.👍👍👍👍👍
Decent MTB trails. They're very cross-country style and there's a lot of places they could have things like berms or small rollers to make it more fun but overall a 4 star experience!
Love this little primitive campground and lake. No water, but there's trash over at the picnic area. Nice trails for walking or bicycling. Quiet and peaceful place to spend some time enjoying nature.
Nice and quaint little place not a lot of people in this town so naturally not a lot of people the lake is pretty nice this time of year lots of fishing going on here no one to bother you set for the sound of the grasshoppers to bring your fishing poles bring your boat to there is a boat ramp couple fishing piers and nothing to do here but sit here and fish
If you're looking for a place to inspire your next slasher movie, this might be the it. Even though it is only a few miles outside Dodge City, it feels very remote. We ran and mtn biked the trails. Broken bottles and other trash in quite a few places. Abandoned outhouses. Wide open spaces! Seclusion! Quiet!
