Glad we decided to try this place even after some of the bad reviews. We had no trouble at all here, everyone was very friendly. They do patrol the area often but other than that, no issues. Great lake side campground, the most beautiful lake. Nice and calm for kayaking and quite fishing right out the back of our site.
Have been here several times, and I don't care for it. The facilities are great, the location is nice (especially if you have a boat), but many of the staff are arrogant & nosy. I regularly saw staff members watching us from a distance (we were not breaking any rules), and they were quick to confront us about nit-picky issues. They were also quick to threaten our option to stay with them again if we politely questioned any of the rules (They're big on their rules). Long story short...If you don't like being treated like a child, try another campground.
If I had gone by the reviews that I read, we never would have gone to this great resort! Everyone was friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay memorable! The staff went over and above to improve our stay and made us feel very welcome. The site of 5 Branches is beautiful and right on the lake. One of our best fishing adventures yet and we hope to repeat our visit yearly! Special thanks to Angela and Ray for all of the fishing advice and help..you guys rock!
We travelled to 5 Branches from Kentucky and loved the area and campground so much, we came three years in a row. The campground is beautiful and we have seen bears, mule deer, osprey, so many different animals and birds, that 5 Branches is like a wildlife park! The views are breathtaking, the area is so quiet, the staff are very friendly and open to answering any questions one might have. There is great fishing in the lake and the river that flows next to the camp. 5 Branches is so lovely and peaceful, my wife and I say it is a piece of Heaven on earth! This is our favorite place to be and we can't wait to return again.
I used to love to stay here 2011-2016 ish. Obviously, I couldn’t have really gone the past two years. I was really looking forward to going this year. However, everything about a trip there this year is a joke. For one, they’re only open a couple months. Two, they’re not offering tent sites. Three, there are minimum stays for the cabins and RV spots. Four, they make you call and hope you get someone on the other line because they don’t have an email. I mean, it’s 2022 at a campground which is the perfect outside, socially distance activity. You’d think they would need to recoup profits from 2020 and 2021 and would operate on a normal schedule. It is ridiculous and I probably will never visit again, even if they bring the tent sites back.
