Beautiful lake! However, fishing failure while we were there. Only lures and flies at this lake! If you want to catch fish try Pass Creek Lake. Within 45 minutes we had our limit.

We drove down to this reservoir to have a family picnic by a mountain lake. When we arrived, we were told by a construction foreman they were working on the dam and we couldn't stay at that end. We drove to the other end and walked down the boat ramp and out to a floating dock that wasn't floating because the water level had been lowered so much for the dam work. The area is beautiful but it wasn't what we expected as far as the lake was concerned.

Wow this was a very pretty secluded place for a picnic and fishing. We spent a few hours gone the shore of the lake. We had a blast. Paddle boarding was fun too. The fishing was pretty good. I have never really been a lake fisher but even the little kids were able to catch some fish. I would recommend a visit to the reservoir. You have to drive through part of the Wolf Creek Ski resort to get there but it’s worth the drive. There is pretty easy access and parking in various spots along the road.
