At over 10,000 ft elevation, a great place to fish or just sit and relax

Very beautiful lake. Short hike to the lake from parking spot. Beautiful views, and wildflowers! Want to go back again very soon!!

I love this place, you get an amazing view of the lake outside your window that you can go fishing in and watch the geese fly in (as well as bats at night) The room is huge and the nearby rec center has all kinds of stuff from a free full sized gym and pool to a mini golf course and tennis court.

Absolutely beautiful little alpine lake near Southfork. The drive can be a bit on the bumpy side, so keep your speed under control. The lake has a good population of trout that were eagerly feeding on the night’s hatch and took a few dry fly patterns for us. I was wishing I had brought my float tube, as wading is tough and the trees tight on the lower end of the lake (I left a few flies in the high branches, ahem!).
