Eglin FamCamp at Postl Point is located adjacent to the Outdoor Recreation Center off Flagler Road. The camp has 22 sites with water and electric (50A, 30A, 20A). All sites are pull-through with an asphalt 5MPH road around the park. Each site has parking and a picnic table. Restrooms/showers and a laundry room are also on-site, with 2 washers and 2 dryer.
Eglin is now operating on a reservation-only basis for both long-term and short-term sites. Reservations can be made 120 days in advance for active duty, 90 days for all others; long-term sites require a $100 non-refundable deposit for a maximum stay of 120 days, and short-term sites require a $70 non-refundable deposit for a maximum stay of 14 days. Each camp site is limited to one (1) RV and two (2) vehicles.

Spaces are available to all personnel authorized to use Outdoor Recreation facilities — active duty, retired military, and DoD civilians. Guests can be sponsored on base and stay in the campground but the sponsor must be present with their guests at all times. The maximum length of stay for sponsored guests is restricted to 14 days, and all sponsored guests must be reported to the FAMCAMP staff.
Great view but for some reason they won’t allow more than 3 vehicles in a spot even if it doesn’t bother anyone else. We had visitors and had a couple of vehicles because they drove here and they weren’t in the way or bothering anybody. They want the people to park 300 yards away just to stay for an evening. And they don’t care if you're military they kick you out so at least they don’t discriminate. But if you can get past that it’s a pretty good place to stay. But some of the rules are ridiculous so just make sure you know them because even barely breaking them could get you kicked out even if it’s not bothering anyone. And the sewage smell spreads to the spots so bring something to plug your nose.
If they had sewage hookups they would get 5 stars but the incredible view makes up for that. Very quiet peaceful place to be.
Very nice military campground. No sewer service at each site lowers my grade from 5 to 4 stars. Very loose control on site assignments as it was obvious that one guest changed their assigned site upon arrival,
Beautiful campground right next to the water, located in Eglin AFB! The hosts on site are very polite and attentive and the community is well maintained. The shower, bathroom and washing machines at the camp work well too!
My only reason for 4 stars is that there are no sewer hookups at the camp sites, this requires moving my trailer to the dump site during a longer stay.
Overall, a great campsite with only minor inconveniences if you are staying longer.
We absolutely LOVE this RV park. It’s small, there are no sewer hookups, there is a dump next to the shower/laundry building. Clean, quiet and ever spot has a view of the water. It’s a hidden gem. Highly recommend.
