No dog park, no lights, 4 washers and dryers that doesn’t work properly, don’t enforce 5 mile speed limit or quiet hours (people do whatever they want but you can get a warning for parking two wheels on the “grass” and Campground isn’t well maintained. It is even an issue using the hose so clean a mess on the concrete patch whoever they enforce you to keep it debris free. Also, aircraft flight over the campground before 7am and play colors really early too. So this place isn’t so peaceful.
They recently raise the prices without any improvements. So think twice before you book here with little kids or for a relaxing time.
Staff very helpful prior to arrival suggested using West Gate to enter. 36’ Class A. Large level spots. Full hookups. Plenty of space for our toad. Only gas station on base near West Gate overhead clearance 11’8” so be aware.
Thought this was a great place until we got two warnings that were absolutely ridiculous! One was for having too many vehicles… when other people had the exact same amount and never moved. the other was for parking in the grass. Which i would understand if the grass was beautiful, but it was not most places were just filled w sand/rocks instead of grass. we had half of our tire in the grass and we’re told it was against the rules, when there was other people parked like this. I have posted pictures below! I recommend the Fort Bennington site that is absolutely beautiful and it’s just right across from the AFB.
Great monthly rates! Beautiful views at Postyl Point and lots of trails to walk at both FamCamp sites. Staff was generally courteous but very stringent on the rules. One big negative is if you stay at Postyl Point, there is the possibility of a bad weather evacuation. The troubling part is that there's no plan in place for where you can go until it reopens. Basically fend for yourself and have fun with your big rig out there in the storm...
