Spent the day at the south side beach. Most glorious day of the year. It was a Wednesday and we had the whole island to ourselves. If you come here, "BRING BUGSPRAY!" Always! 😉😀

We love to fish here. We kayak over from a couple of spots depending on where we are going to fish. It’s nice to walk the sea side or kayak past if somewhat calm out. Or fish the rock jetty for specks and reds.

Deer Island is the perfect place for boating and sailboat anchoring. Check out the south side but it's shallow for boats.

Great place to get away from everyone. Would give 5 stars as any island is the best place to be in my opinion. However, there was a TON of trash and just as many dead catfish everywhere.

Such a beautiful place. The amount of trash on this island and in the water surrounding it is pretty disheartening, though. Please pick up your trash and even take some with you if you see it laying around. We should keep our land and waterways clean.
